Peer-Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Spirituality Research in Health Sciences are initially screened for relevance to the journal’s scope, basic scientific quality, manuscript structure, and ethical requirements.

Eligible manuscripts undergo double-anonymous peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are not disclosed to each other.

Research manuscripts are normally evaluated by at least two peer reviewers and, when appropriate, a methodological or statistical reviewer. An additional reviewer may be invited when substantial disagreement occurs.

Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. The final decision is made by the Editor based on the scientific assessment and reviewer comments.

Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a clear, point-by-point response to the reviewers’ comments within four weeks.

The journal seeks to maintain a rigorous review process while avoiding unnecessary delays in editorial decisions and publication. The average time from submission to publication in Spirituality Research in Health Sciences is approximately 4 months.
