Abstract
Background. Depression, stress and anxiety could be defined as the most common type of psychological problems among human societies in recent decades.in fact ,6% of all people are affected by depression and anxiety throughout their life. How cope with these problems requires complex factors. Therefore, the complexity of the youth problems in interaction with rapid social and cultural changes more research to be carried out in this field.
Method. The design of the present study , according to how the data is collected, is of relational ,and based on the aim, it is among basic researches. The statistical population is all students 15 to 18 in ژhaharborj city selected through randomized cluster sampling. The statistical analysis of the data obtained in this research has been done using structural equation modeling.
Result. The Findings of the study revealed that out of 5 subscales positive youth development ,the measures of relationship had the highest negative relationship and Meditation had the lowest rate of relationship with Emotional Distress. In addition, out of 3 subscalr of Emotional Distress ،depression had the most significant relationship while anxiety had the least negative relationship with the positive youth development.
Conclusion. In this study Emotional Distress had a negative significant relationship with the positive youth development also revealed a significant negative relationship between spiritual intelligence and emotional distress. Practical Implications: The study carries a number of practical Implications for researchers in the field, psychiatrists dealing with people suffering from depression, anxiety as well as Emotional Distress. It could also help educators, trainers to highlight the role of spiritual intelligence well as organizations dealing with the youth. Also, society should provide the necessary opportunities for teenagers to participate in challenging and developmental activities through educational experts and trainers.
