Abstract
Background. Ethical efficiency is considered as a subset of moral tendencies that provides motivation, sense of obligation and moral responsibility. The aim of the current research was to investigate the effectiveness of social skills training on moral efficiency in students during the Covid-19 era.
Methods. The present research is of the type of applied research and in terms of the research method, it is semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the research included students of the second level of high school in Tabriz, the sampling method in this research was available in the first step; Then the students selected from available schools were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups and 15 people were replaced in each group. Before the training sessions, the moral efficiency test was conducted as a pre-test for both groups. Social skills training was conducted in the form of one-hour sessions in 12 sessions for the experimental group, and after the completion of the course, the same test was administered again as a post-test for both groups. In the current research, library and field methods were used to collect information. The library method was used to collect the theoretical foundations of the research and the field method was used to collect the research data from the ethical efficiency questionnaire. Descriptive statistics method (mean and standard deviation) was used to analyze the research data. Also, to analyze the research data, the inferential statistics method of analysis of covariance test was used.
Results. The research hypothesis that the effectiveness of social skills training on students' moral efficiency was confirmed at a significance level of P less than 0.05.
Conclusion. Therefore, the results of the present study indicate that social skills training has an effect on the moral efficiency of students in the era of Covid-19.
Practical Implications. Based on this research, it is recommended to teach these skills to improve the moral efficiency of learners.
